One Romantic Evening - concert announcement

Southgate Symphony Orchestra's next concert, "One Romantic Evening" will be performed at 7:30pm on 17 April, 2010 at the Bourne Methodist Church, The Bourne, Southgate, London N14 6RS.

The programme of music from the Romantic Era features Weber's Overture to "Der Freischutz", Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major and Schumann's 4th Symphony. Gavin Davies will perform the violin concerto.

You can buy tickets online (save £1 on the cover price, booking fee applies).

See page 42 of the print edition or view the online edition. The closing date's Tuesday 24 November and, if you're not the lucky winner, you can take advantage of extended advance ticket prices (£1 off face value) by buying online (booking fee applicable).

Making Music Prizewinner to play with SSO

We're pleased to announce Mathieu van Bellen, winner of the Philip & Dorothy Green Award for Young Concert Artists (organised by Making Music), will be performing Dvorak's Violin Concerto with the Orchestra on Saturday 28 November, 7:30pm at The Bourne Methodist Church. The programme will also include Mendelssohn's popular overture "The Hebrides" / "Fingal's Cave", as well as Schubert's 4th Symphony.

Bookings can be made by emailing us to request a form. Advance tickets cost £8 (£6 concessions), saving £1 off the on-the-door price.
